In 100 days of work, the volunteer platform SpivDiia, initiated by the Office of the President of Ukraine, received almost 268,000 requests for humanitarian aid. Most requests came from Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.

Today SpivDiia has 23 hubs in 18 regions of Ukraine. Those hubs were launched together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and are based on local youth centers and public organizations.

“In more than 3 months, SpivDiia has turned into a real ecosystem. Here, first of all, a person helps a person. Ar first, it was a website receiving online applications from those in need and those with the resources to cover those needs. Nowadays, SpivDiia is thousands of volunteers in our hubs, the shelters support, spaces for children who lost their homes due to the war, the opportunity to learn and develop, and the usual circle of communication. SpivDiia also provides psychological and legal assistance to those in need. There is a young business support program. SpivDiia is about the cooperation of Ukrainians who don’t give up and are approaching the victory,” says the organization’s head Iryna Tulyakova.

At different times, the platform managers received from 2,000 to 7,000 new applications per day. People ask for food, clothing, gadgets, medicines, children’s and personal hygiene products.

“We receive many requests for essential assistance (food and clothes, medicines) from the country’s east and south. Today, we have 44,683 uncovered requests in the Dnipropetrovsk region, 18,414 in the Odesa region and 14,763 in Zaporizhia. Those regions host people evacuated from areas of active hostilities,” says Anna Biloshapka, the coordinator of SpivDiia Hubs.

More than 700 volunteers with their own vehicles are already registered in the SpivDiia database. The only thing is that the delivery’s timeliness depends on the fuel availability, volunteers say.

The amount of humanitarian aid varies: from homemade canned goods to a record 550 tons from SpivDiia’s partner, Help Ukraine Center, which has provided 47 trucks with more than 1,300 pallets of essential aid.

SpivDiia Hubs also act as stationary centers with additional social services, mainly psychological and legal support for IDPs.

You can also register on the SpivDiia website in “I want to help” section if you want and can help others.
